Memoriphoria ("we," "us," or "our") builds tools — including the Spool app and the Memoriphoria platform — that help people record and preserve personal and family stories. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Our products are designed to keep your recordings, transcripts, and photos private to you wherever possible:

• Recordings, transcripts, and photos: Audio recordings and any on-device transcription happen locally on your device. We do not upload this content to our own servers, and we do not access it.
• Backup data: If you choose to back up your data, it is stored using your own personal cloud account (such as your iCloud account) under your control — not on servers we operate.
• Contact information: If you contact us directly (for example, by email), we retain that correspondence to respond to you.
• Basic technical data: Standard, non-identifying technical information (such as crash logs, if enabled) may be collected to help us fix bugs and improve reliability.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your recordings, transcripts, or photos with third parties.
• We do not use your content to train any artificial intelligence models.
• We do not require an account or personal profile to use our core features.

How we use information

Any information we do receive (such as an email you send us) is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve our products, and to respond to your questions. We do not use it for advertising or marketing to third parties.

Your choices

Because your recordings and personal content stay on your device (or in your own personal cloud account), you remain in control of that data at all times — you can delete it, export it, or back it up as you choose within the app.

Children's privacy

Our products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
